{"id":6510,"date":"2024-09-24T05:45:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T00:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lawfultalks3.selfst.art\/the-bombay-high-court-invites-applications-for-the-post-of-district-judge\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T17:13:45","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T11:43:45","slug":"the-bombay-high-court-invites-applications-for-the-post-of-district-judge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lawfultalks3.selfst.art\/?p=6510","title":{"rendered":"The Bombay High Court invites applications for the post of District Judge."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">The Bombay High Court has announced 28 vacancies for the position of District Judge by nomination (25%) in the Judicial service of the State of Maharashtra.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>Designation: <\/strong>District Judge.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>No. of vacancies:<\/strong> 28.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>Pay scales: <\/strong>Rs. 1,44,840- 1,94,660 plus dearness allowance and other allowances as admissible under the Rules.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <hr \/>\n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">1) A candidate must be :-<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-left:40px\">\n \n <li style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">A citizen of India.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n \n <li style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">A Holder of a Degree of Law.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n \n <li style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">practicing as an Advocate in the High Court of Bombay or Courts subordinate thereto for not less than seven years on the date of publication of Advertisement and while computing the period for practising as an Advocate, the period during which he\/she has held the post of Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate or Judicial Officer shall be included.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n \n <\/ul>\n \n \n \n <p style=\"margin-left:160px; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">or&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-left:40px\">\n \n <li style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">A candidate must be working or must have worked as Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate for not less than 7 years in the post or posts on the date of publication of the Advertisement, and while computing the period of 7 years, the period during which the candidate has practiced as an Advocate shall be included.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n \n <\/ul>\n \n \n \n <p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">2) 35 &#8211; 45 years of age in case of general and 35-47 years of age in case of backward classes recognised by the Government.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">3) Must be proficient in the language of Marathi.
