Under the leadership of CJI Khanna, the current Collegium comprises Justices BR Gavai, Surya Kant, Hrishikesh Roy, and Abhay S Oka.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">During CJI Khanna&rsquo;s tenure, the only anticipated change in the Collegium will occur on January 31, 2025, when Justice Vikram Nath, a future Chief Justice of India, replaces Justice Hrishikesh Roy following his retirement.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">The next three Chief Justices of India following CJI Khanna will be Justices BR Gavai, Surya Kant, and Vikram Nath, in that sequence.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna took office on November 11, 2024 the composition of the Supreme Court Collegium is expected to remain largely unchanged throughout his tenure.
