Starting today, November 18, 2024, newly filed matters will be listed on a separate additional supplementary cause list. This change is outlined in Notice issued on November 13, 2024.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:center\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">Initially, this system will be implemented on a <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong><em>trial basis<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"> for the Division Bench headed by the Hon&rsquo;ble Chief Justice. Under this arrangement, freshly filed cases will be automatically scheduled for hearing on the <strong>fourth day<\/strong> after final numbering. These cases will appear on an additional supplementary cause list, which will be addressed before the regular cause list. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">The notice states that therefore fresh matters, not be mentioned before the bench. Mentioning will be permitted only if <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>exceptional urgency<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"> is made out justifying a listing earlier than the auto-listing schedule.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">The court plans to extend this protocol to all benches in due course.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <hr \/>\n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bombayhighcourt.nic.in\/writereaddata\/webnotice\/PDF\/noticebom20241113194444.pdf\" style=\"text-decoration:none\"><span style=\"color:#990000\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><u>Notice issued by the Bombay HC dated November 13, 2024.<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a move to improve judicial efficiency, the Bombay High Court has introduced a new system for handling freshly filed cases.
