The appeal, filed by Nisar Ahmed Sayyed Bilal, will likely be heard by a division bench comprising <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>Justice Ajay Gadkari<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"> and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><strong>Justice Ranjitsinha Bhonsa<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">le on September 15.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:center\"><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p><strong style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif; font-size:14pt\">Brief Background :<\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:14pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif\">The special court had acquitted the accused, stating the prosecution failed to prove that the bike used in the blast belonged to Pragya Thakur and observed she had renounced the material world two years prior, potentially making her uninvolved.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p><span style=\"font-family:Georgia,serif; font-size:14pt\">It also found no evidence linking Abhinav Bharat, the organization founded by Pragya and Purohit, to terrorist funding. The case, initiated by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) after the blast on September 29, 2008, was later taken over by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
