While around 40 existing buildings would be preserved, he claimed that the remaining buildings, around 200 in total, will either be demolished or reconstructed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p style=\"margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial\">In 2022, the Gujarat High Court dismissed Gandhi&#39;s plea after the government assured that the core section of the ashram would remain untouched. It also expressed the view that the redevelopment project would uphold Mahatma Gandhi&#39;s principles and philosophy, benefiting humanity as a whole.
