The inaugural ceremony of this newly established bench will take place on <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Sunday, 17th August, at 3:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> at the High Court Building, Dasera Chowk, Kolhapur.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:center\"><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">The Chief Justice of India, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Bhushan Gavai<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, will formally inaugurate the bench. The ceremony will be graced by the presence of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Ajit Pawar<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, among other dignitaries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">The event will be presided over by <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Justice Makarand S. Karnik<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, the Administrative Judge of the Kolhapur Circuit Bench. Following the official inauguration, a public function will be held at <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Merryweather Ground, Nagala Park, Kolhapur<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> to mark the occasion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">The Bombay High Court has issued the sitting list for its newly established circuit bench, which will commence sittings from <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>August 18<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">. According to the notification, the bench will operate with <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>one division bench<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>two single-judge benches<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>division bench<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, comprising <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Justice M.S. Karnik<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> (presently at the principal seat in Mumbai) and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Justice Sharmila Deshmukh<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">, will hear Public Interest Litigations (PILs), civil writ petitions, first appeals, family court appeals, contempt appeals, and all other civil and criminal matters falling within the division bench&rsquo;s jurisdiction from the districts of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>single-judge bench of Justice Shivkumar Dige<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"> will take up criminal appeals, criminal revision applications, bail applications, and other criminal matters within a single judge&rsquo;s jurisdiction.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n <p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\">Meanwhile, the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,sans-serif\"><strong>single-judge bench of Justice S.G.
